This is a cover, not a blackout hood. It shades and diffuses light; it does not black the cage out entirely.

Do not seal the cage. Birds need constant airflow. Leave the cover positioned so air moves freely through the bars, and never cover a cage in a hot room or in direct sun.

Can I machine wash it?
