Product Overview
Cats are built to climb, but in an apartment or a small room there is rarely space for a tall cat tree. This cat climbing rope hangs from your ceiling or wall on a metal round hook, giving your cat about 9.8 ft (3 m) of jute rope to climb, grip and scratch while taking up almost no floor space. It gives your cat a high vantage point to watch the room from, an outlet for the urge to scratch, and exercise climbing up and down. An installation tool and screws are included.

- About 9.8 ft (3 m) long for a proper climb

Important Information
- No weight rating is published, so a secure installation is essential. Fix the hook only into a solid ceiling joist or wall stud. Do not hang it from drywall or plasterboard alone, which can pull out under the force of a jumping, swinging cat. Use a stud finder, and if you are not confident drilling into joists, ask a handyman to install it.
- Test before your cat climbs. After installing, pull down on the rope firmly and steadily with far more force than your cat weighs. If the hook moves, flexes or the fixing loosens at all, do not use it until it is re-fixed securely.
- Inspect regularly. Check the rope, hook and fixing every week or two for fraying, loosening or wear, and stop using the rope if anything looks damaged.
- Supervise at first. Watch your cat's first few climbs to make sure they can get up and down safely. Supervise kittens and senior cats more closely.
- Choose the spot carefully. Hang the rope away from blind and curtain cords, electrical cables, open windows and balconies, and keep the area below clear of hard furniture edges.
- Measurements are approximate and may vary slightly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much weight can it hold?
The manufacturer does not publish a weight rating. Its safety depends on fixing the hook into a solid ceiling joist or wall stud and testing it with a firm pull before use.
Can I hang it from drywall?
No. Drywall or plasterboard alone is not strong enough for a climbing cat. Fix the hook into a joist or stud.
Ceiling or wall – which is better?
Either works. A ceiling mount gives a free-hanging rope your cat can climb from any side; a wall mount suits rooms where a ceiling joist is hard to reach.
Will it stop my cat scratching the furniture?
It gives your cat an appealing place to scratch, which helps many cats leave furniture alone, but results vary from cat to cat.
What is included for installation?
An installation tool and screws come with the rope and hook.
