• These are for the coat, not the collar. They fasten with a small elastic band around a section of hair — your dog needs enough coat length to gather. They will not work on a short-coated breed.
• Never pull the band tight against the skin. Gather loosely, and if your dog scratches at the bow or the skin underneath looks pink, take it out straight away.
• Take the bows out at the end of the day. Bands left in over days can matt the coat and pull at the roots.
