Measure your opening before ordering. The gate spans approximately 125 cm, so the opening needs to be narrower than that for the mesh to reach its mounting points.

Choose the height for your pet, not your convenience. 50 cm suits small dogs, puppies and cats who are not committed jumpers; 58 cm gives more margin. Neither height will stop an athletic dog determined to clear it.
- This is a mesh barrier held by hooks, not a rigid pressure-mounted gate. It is intended to discourage and contain, and it is not designed to withstand a large dog throwing its weight against it.
- Fit both hooks and both positioners as supplied, and check the tension is holding before leaving a pet on the far side unsupervised.
- Do not use at the top of a staircase as the only thing between a pet and a fall. For stair-top use, choose a hard-mounted gate rated for that purpose.
- Keep the retracting mechanism away from small children's fingers and do not let a pet chew the mesh.
- Sizes are given by the manufacturer and measured by hand, so a small tolerance is normal.
- Wipe the mesh clean with a damp cloth.

We do not recommend it as the sole barrier there. This is a hook-mounted mesh gate, not a hard-mounted stair gate — use it at the bottom of stairs or in doorways, and fit a rated stair gate at the top.

Will it work outdoors?
