A cut-out is required. This flap installs into a hole cut in the door panel. It is not a self-adhesive, tension-fitted or free-standing product, and no fitting is reversible once the door is cut.

Measure your pet, not just the door. The standard guide is to measure the width across the widest part of your cat's body and the height from the floor to the top of their shoulders, then choose a flap opening comfortably larger than both.
